Germination and Growth Performance of Seedlings Of Ascorbic Acid, Silicon and Gibberellic Acid Treated Secondary Seed of Wheat Under Salt Stress

Considering the effect of salt stress on morph-physiological and biochemical changes wheat (Triticum aestivum L. var. BARI Gom-26) as well mitigation adverse through exogenous application Ascorbic Acid (AsA), Silicon (Si) Gibberellic (GA3), experiment was conducted at Department Agronomy, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. In field experiment, four levels (0, 50, 80, 120 mM NaCl) were applied 20 days after sowing grown up to harvest. AsA (2 ascorbic acid), Si (200 μM SiO2), GA3 (100 gibberellic acid) foliar spraying interval. Seeds collected from which used secondary seeds planting materials for second evaluate influence AsA, growth performance physiological attributes seedlings under stress. Experiment revealed that enhanced germination seedling salinity Overall, significantly increased seed (%) parameters, while silicon mostly improved fresh weight chlorophyll (a, b a+b) showed better relative water contents with other parameters. results experiments, performed than in mitigating stress.
